Lamb Dog Food

my cousins dog recently died from a bladder problem, she had almost 40 lbs. of dog food just sitting in her kitchen, my aunts dog also had a bladder problem and her dog also eats the Purina lamb and rice is it from the food or did it coincidentally happen? my dog has been eating it for about 2 weeks and when she eats it she gets the food ALL over the kitchen floor, its not the meat part its the rice part and its really annoying because when you step on it bare foot it hurts.

My dog is a female year and a half chocolate lab/springer spaniel mix. She has been eating purina just like our other dog, both with no problems. About 5 weeks ago, she started rolling on her back in the poop around the yard. We just thought it was a bad habit from leaving her outside too long. Maybe it is. We had to bathe her 3 seperate times, mostly just around the neck. We used a gentel, natural shampoo on the area. We have been vigilant about cleaning up after the dogs and that habit has seemed to stop. Good.

Perhaps unrelated, 3 weeks ago she started scratching like crazy. And scratching. And scratching. And chewing on her feet. We didn’t see any signs of fleas, mites, bugs; no red marks, no flakiness. No signs other than itching. Her energy was also down, but she has been staying awake at night to scratch when she normally sleeps.

A week ago we started feeding her plain rice and ground lamb in the hopes it was perhaps a food allergy. It seemed to help after a few days, but now today I see in between her toes is a little red (caught her licking.)

Could this be pollen allergies? Does this sound like a food allergy? I will take her to the vet in another week when I get paid, but am concerned about now that she is red between the toes.

She has a fenced in yard in a city with grass, trees and flowers; we live in Northern MN.
She’s started to loose fur around her face and in between her toes, I imagine from scratching and chewing. I have tried to limit her exposure to the outdoors incase it’s an outdoor allergy since this has been an issue. We do not use any products on our lawn.
